THE ORPHANED YOUTH

It is a nice feeling to observe  the general level of awareness that prevailing amongst us ,every day we come to know about the good hearts that are dwelling amongst us, who care for the deprived old and share their concern to create a shelter for them. WE  hear so many voices of angst against the  agony  that  women and girls  while  they are  socially abused,Huge cry against corruption, And loud cheers even for humble achievements , So many are there to take care of Animals and pets, and at times you really feel that the attention what pets are given is not  extended to our fellow beings.
Forums are actively engaged to bring in parity of wages for unorganized sector of people.Proactive proposals from the Government keeps pouring in,  in the form of free rice, affordable housing ,cheap drinking water, toilets for all and of course not to miss the Minimum employment for all, where we hear a relief of sigh in the rural areas who are getting in a steady income.
When the rosy side of Our country is commendable, A plight of an ignored lot which has no voice for representation and who have been orphaned by every one, whose tears have no hands to wipe also exist.

Well I am pained to talk about the professionally educated youth of urban and rural areas of this country On whose future their family had built their dream castles. They had pinned high hopes that once their sons and daughters enter a professional course and emerge out as Doctors and engineers a new future would welcome them with dignified jobs being offered on platters, with this filament of assurance the parents spent their last penny taking loans from banks /lenders and neighbors assuring them that they would repay in total once their wards gets  settled and the scene was a bit different in rural areas , where they started selling their goats and cows in early days, moved on with pledging any little land they had and ultimately got enslaved for the loans that they had taken thinking that they would be redeemed once their children got employed.

But reality strikes in a different form, while the number of colleges scored in hundreds to offer a seat in engineering the companies who want people to employ are just in 10 and 20"s.
Every one who joined these courses imagined that a day would come when they would earn in 5 digits ,wear formals and enter posh offices but in reality they found they had no takers to offer them a 9-5 job, what ever they could stumble down and strike was a deal at some call center sitting thro  midnight answering mute calls of some foreign origin or the linguistic barks of our own brothers  for the deficient customer care they get ,Even this  job in a call center was after a hibernation of 1 to 2 years waiting in vain and after knowing that all doors of a decent employment is closed. A group of youngsters grabbing very low level posts after holding Masters in their hands are different stories,Not to miss a different group  that stands waiting to be picked up for an unskilled work, driven by deprivation, poverty and with an ultimate wow to erase the TAG of unemployed youth

At times its not out of place to state that their uneducated friends who decided to stay back in their villages are better off with a job thro the rural employment scheme, and their peer level girls get a handy salary working in near by companies,

what to do the Pride that he/she  has added a suffix in the form of a two letter or four letter degree prohibits them to enter this area of job market. And if at all any young man with these qualifications is making a decent dent with his pay it does not come until that he holds two to three part time jobs hopping from one end of the city to another, forgetting about sleep and getting accustomed to the trolly road side  daabas for meeting his food needs.

And its really strange that when the awareness to discuss about even very very disgusting issues in public is taken as a symbol of media independence and liberty, such a burning issue of today's youth  whose development is  going to decide not only the  destiny of the families of  youngsters but also the fate of our country. has been given a silent death. To my knowledge i go with the hype that cinema is a mass Media which highlights the social issues to all strata of people and its an irony that no recent Cinema in this decade has ever touched this subject seriously,For the last few movies which spoke about unemployment of youth were varumaiyin Neram sikkappu and Nizhakal which touched screens during the 80'S.AND THIS DID NOT  TARGET PROFESSIONALLY QUALIFIED YOUNGSTERS
 BUT AN EDUCATED GROUP.

Well I will not spare our young generation  because in a way they are also responsible for writing the script for this pathetic situation, cause today's youth and teens have chisel led there character and profile so well that Any one would really not risk their repute and business by employing them,I do not think this description of them would be an exaggeration, faded jeans, shabby clothing unshaven faces ,and dirty looks,  A big screen apps phone,Aggressive mood and foul language , If the day time of these people is shown following would be partners(presumed??) on foot and bikes as if life is meant only to fall for some one and gather those insults, the nights end up with forming a group boozing out and spending  sleepless nights blabbering, and innovating different techniques to correct their party(in their terms).
No doubt when we do no care to market our self why expect help from others, and lament Its time that our young group wakes up from their fantasy world and show up their strength that wasted.
